Lithonia is bordered to the north, east, and south by unincorporated areas of Dekalb County and to the west by the city of Stonecrest. Lithonia is located in the growing I-20 corridor East of Atlanta. Although Lithonia is mainly a residential suburb of Atlanta, it does have several commercial and industrial districts.
